The surveillance video of the two suspects was released by the Fairfield Police Department.
The two are allegedly responsible for stealing packages and breaking into multiple motor vehicles in the Lake Hills section of town earlier in the summer.
According to police, the department received reports from eight residents who reported that their vehicles were entered overnight and personal items were stolen.
In one incident, police said that a Papurah Road resident had a wallet stolen from his vehicle, as well as packages from his porch.
In the Ring Door Bell video, two men can be seen running up to the front door of his home where packages were left outside overnight at 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26.
“Alarmingly, one of the suspects is captured on the video holding a silver firearm, just feet from the complainants’ front doorstep,” investigators said. “The suspects take the packages and fortunately flee without incident. “
Hours later, the same suspects were caught on a different camera using stolen credit cards at a gas station in Wallingford.
“Police are urging residents to remove valuables and secure vehicles to help minimize the temptation that may lure dangerous criminals to neighborhoods,” investigators said. “Leaving valuables in vehicles with the doors left unlocked creates a target-rich environment for these crimes to occur.
"Police also urge residents to not confront suspicious individuals as they may be armed and dangerous. Should you see something suspicious in your neighborhood call the police immediately.”
Anyone with information regarding the suspects' whereabouts or identities has been asked to contact the Fairfield Police Department by calling (203) 254-4840.
